Some of you have heard about it. Some of you know what it is. It’s gibberish to others. This article will explain what PageRank is, where you can see it, what it means. It will also show the limit of PageRank.

What is page rank?

According to Google:
PageRank Technology: PageRank reflects our view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that we believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.”

She basically says that people worry way too much about PR. (PR=Page Rank)

She talks about the differences between a link coming from a high PR website versus a link coming from a low PR but with relevancy.

In the end, it’s all about the users, not the search engines.
